Join us for The Remarkable Race, a family-friendly 5km fundraising walk to support the incredible team at Evelina London.

The Remarkable Race is an event you won’t want to miss!

This is a relaxed walk that brings families, supporters, and the local community together to explore South London. Participants can choose how they move on the day, at their own pace, with the option to take shorter routes.

 

How to take part in The Remarkable Race

    1. Sign up and set up a JustGiving Page
      Register on GivePanel and set up your personalised JustGiving fundraising page.
    2. Join the Facebook group
      Be part of our amazing community. In our Facebook group, we’ll provide tips and resources to help you with your fundraising.
    3. Meet us at Archbishop’s Park
      On the 5th of July, join fellow supporters at Archbishop’s Park for The Remarkable Race. This is where you will register for the event, collect your wristband and t-shirt before the race begins.

What is the route?

For the full 5km route, participants will begin the walk at Archbishop’s Park. From there, the route leads through South London, passing Evelina London Children’s Hospital. This will be a meaningful moment, highlighting the purpose behind this fundraising walk.

You’ll continue along the River Thames, seeing scenic views of iconic landmarks such as Big Ben.

The walk will finish at St Thomas’ Gardens, where everyone can come together to celebrate. There will be music, food and entertainment, followed by the awarding of your much-deserved medal.

The walk will be up to 5km, with shorter 3km options available along the way. Participants are welcome to go at their own pace, take breaks, and choose a distance that feels right for them.

Who can take part in The Remarkable Race?

Everyone is welcome. It’s open to:

  • Children and adults of all ages (Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
  • Families, friends and supporters
  • Wheelchair users and those with prams
  • Anyone looking for an achievable, welcoming event

What to expect on the day?

  • A fun, accessible up to 5km walking route, with optional shorter loops
  • A friendly, non-competitive atmosphere, no running required!
  • Plenty of opportunities for rest stops, photos and memories
  • A post-walk reception in St Thomas’ Gardens to celebrate

Is there a registration fee?

The registration fee for this event is £15 per adult and children can take part for free. This fee helps us cover the cost of delivering the event.
