Trailblazing gene therapies at Evelina London

For children with rare genetic eye conditions, early treatment can be life-changing. We funded specialist retinal surgeon Dr Neruban Kumaran to deliver gene therapy to seven children with an affected AIPL1 gene. After recovering from the treatment, every child experienced an improvement in their vision.
