Sam’s marathon fundraiser

How inspirational Sam, took on an incredible marathon fundraising challenge to raise funds for Evelina London.

Inspiring teenager Sam Short took on a marathon fundraising challenge in March, raising over £10,000 for the hospital where he has received care for much of his life.

13-year-old Sam was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. At the age of six, Sam took part in a groundbreaking clinical trial at Evelina London which has helped to reduce some of the side effects of his condition.

Along with his parents and siblings, Sam completed a marathon in a day – running, cycling, scooting and skateboarding 26.2 miles as a way of raising funds and thanking the Evelina London team.

"What a brilliant achievement – well done and thank you Sam!"
