The play guide is packed with activities for the whole family to enjoy, which are especially useful if your child has an upcoming event or appointment.

There are six different themes to inspire your playtime, including creating sensory experiences, role-play activities, distraction techniques and things to do if your child is struggling to express their feelings.

For each theme, you’ll discover ideas to try at home, examples of the brilliant activities organised by Evelina London’s superstar play specialists, and how the charity helps bring their imagination to life.

The highly skilled play specialists and workers at Evelina London created the play guide to share their expertise with parents and carers. It’s full of tried and tested ways to help children understand and cope with treatment and procedures using toys, games, stories and activities.
