Support our specialist cancer centre for children

We’re seeking support from companies and philanthropists through an ambitious period of growth.

Our ambition for children with cancer

Evelina London Children’s Hospital already provides compassionate and expert care to children and young people facing life-threatening illness. Now they’re opening a specialist cancer centre to help children with cancer too.

A cancer diagnosis shatters the everyday life of a child and their family. Overnight, the ‘every day’ is lost, and the future becomes uncertain. Children endure long hospital stays and gruelling cancer treatments, often isolated from their family and friends. For parents and loved ones, it’s a frightening and stressful time.

When the new centre opens, Evelina London will treat toddlers, children and young people with complex or rarer types of cancer from across South London and much of South East England. These patients may need more intensive treatments, which often means long stays in hospital.

Working in partnership with the hospital, it is our shared ambition to provide exceptional cancer care and support research to develop better, kinder treatments for some of the most unwell children in the region.

But we can’t do it alone.

We are therefore seeking support from companies and philanthropists to help make this new centre a reality. Bringing this service to Evelina London provides a once in a generation opportunity to bring world leading experts together. You can be a part of building a specialist cancer centre with compassion, innovation and expertise at its heart.

“Donors can make a huge difference to the experience children and their families have when undergoing cancer treatment… supporting children and families to receive their care in child-friendly facilities and by providing access to innovative, state-of-the-art medical equipment"

Charlie Leger, Head of Nursing for the Principal Treatment Centre programme

Specialist cancer care, delivered in a specialist hospital

Evelina London is bringing skills, cutting-edge equipment and technology together to help provide care to children with cancer. Families will benefit from streamlined care, delivered on one site, including an intensive care unit, cardiology department and state-of-the-art imaging facilities. And children will have round-the-clock access to the very best in cancer and paediatric care, when it matters most.
