Thanks to you, Evelina London has made vital improvements to their neonatal unit Like creating more homely spaces, where our team can provide comfort to worried parents of seriously ill babies. Family spaces, including an expressing room, quiet rooms, and rooming-in rooms, have been completely redesigned. Other areas have comfy new furniture, improved lighting and a new calming colour scheme, creating a more relaxing atmosphere.

How you’re helping to nurture precious bonds

Your support is helping the tiniest babies and their families.

A comfortable family room provides a calm space for parents and carers to take a break from the wards. It includes a kitchen to prepare simple meals and, of course, soothing teas and coffees.
A breast feeding and expressing room gives new mums a calm and private space. The room contains all the necessary equipment, and the expert team are on hand to provide guidance and reassurance.
Quiet rooms provide space for families to speak with their medical team. Being on the NICU can be stressful and overwhelming, so having a private space to talk and process emotions is essential.
Renovated shower and toilet facilities allow families to stay comfortable, without needing to leave their babies for long periods.
