Designed with children and families in mind
With your support, the specialist centre is being designed around the needs of young patients and their loved ones. In a period of 16 months over 2025-26, the compassionate Evelina London team have spent more than 300 hours listening to children and families to understand what matters most when a child is receiving cancer treatment.

Curtains for glazed screens in treatment areas
Giving children and families privacy and comfort when they need it most.
Centralised nurse call points
Call points that are accessible from either side of the bed, making it easier for parents to call for assistance.
Access to kitchen facilities
With individual food lockers so parents and carers can spend more time with their child.
Movable TVs
Providing space for gaming consoles, helping young patients experience the comforting power of play.
